Ellinwood, Aaron K. {I2876} (b. 14 APR 1842, d. 29 DEC 1873)
Note: Aaron went to Jennings County, Indiana as child with his parents as they migrated west.
On July 29, 1861, he enlisted at edinburgh, Indiana, with Company H, 19th Indiana Volunteers, for service in the Civil war. He received a medical discharge in 1863 because of inflammatory rheumatism acquired from exposure while marching with the army of the Potomac the previous year.
He worked on the Indiana and St. Louis railroad.

Note: Austin was a partner in a tanning and shoe business in Clinton, New York.
?, Ebenezer Ellinwood {I2938} (b. 30 OCT 1719, d. 15 JUN 1799)
Note: There is two Ebenezer's born on the same birth date, One married a Elizabeth Corning on May 24,1744; another married Esther Hibbard at Glouster on May 29, 1744.
The one who married Elzabeth Corning on May 24, 1744, is much better known. In the register of births concerning his children he is consistenly referred to as "Captain" Ebenezer Ellinwood. He and Elizabeth had thefollowing children;

Ellinwood, Jedidiah {I2943} (b. 23 AUG 1730, d. ?)
Note: Jedediah moved to Amherst, New Hampshire, with his parents around 1740.
Jedediah is on the Amherst tax-roll of 1760. He signed the petitions of 1763 and 1783. He aerved in the Battle of bennington, 1777; he is recorded as a private in captain John Bradford's Company, Col. Moses Nichol's Regiment, raised to reinforce the Northern Army, July 19, 1777, and served for two months.
The census of 1790 for Amherst lists two adult men and four females in his household.
Ellinwood, Benjamin Tuck {I2955} (b. 20 NOV 1748, d. 17 MAR 1827)
Note: He seems to have lived in the eastern part of Lyndeborough. A few years later, be bought land in the northerly part of Shirley which at that time was still part of Groton, Massachusetts.
Ca. 1785, Benjamin Tuck settled on a farm on the western shorte of Colcord Pond (formerly known as Ellenwood's Pond) in Porter Township, York County, maine. He remained there about ten years, during which his mother-in-law, the Widow Lamson, died--the first white person whose death is recorded in the township.
Research by Ohio descendants has him also participating in the Battle of Bunker Hill, the Battle of Trenton, and at Valley Forge.
Ca. 1795, a widower, Benjamin Tuck left Porter, Maine with three sons for Washington County, Ohio, in the area where Gen. Israel Putnam's Ohio Company had secured public lands for war veterans. The first known date is that of the marriage license of daniel in the Marietta Court House. They took up land two miles north of nearby Porterfield, property which in 1959 was owned by Carl W. Ellenwood.
Ellinwood, John {I2963} (b. 19 SEP 1765, d. ?)
Note: At the town meetings 1798 and 1800 he was elected a tithingman.
John was again elected a town officer in 1809. In 1822 a village quide-post was erected near his home. Minutes of the town meeting of 1827, refer to a note given the town by Return J. Ellingwood, presumably his sister from Amherst, and endorsed by John. The minutes of 1831 refer to her being "struck off" to Peregrine Bartlett, so John may have died in the meantime.
In the 1800 census,John's name was spelt "Ellenwood", but thereafter in each reference Latham spells the name of John and his descendants as "Ellingwood".
Ellinwood, John Murphy {I3079} (b. 31 JAN 1802, d. 4 MAR 1894)
Note: John Murphy Ellinwood bought land in Orwell, Ohio. He built a log house.
Ca. 1850 he sold the Orwell property and bought an island in the Grand River, with an adjecent farm in Rock Creek, Ohio. He was Justice of the peace for many years. When past 80 years of age, he saved two men from drowning in the swift river current after their boat had capsized, paddling out to them in his own canoe.
Ellinwood, Douglas Harlow {I3110} (b. 1840, d. ?)
Note: Douglas volunteered in the Civil War from Dunham Township, Ohio on October 23, 1861. He served as a private in Company D of the 77th Regiment until his discharge for disability on June 18, 1862.
Ellinwood, Lowell Watson {I3112} (b. 1855, d. ?)
Note: Lowell Watso graduated from Cincinnati Law School in May 1879, and practiced
law in Marietta with the firm of Ellenwood, Smith. and Leeper.
He was active in the Ohio Grand Lodge of the Knights of Pythias, also a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and the Unitarian Church. He ran for Congress and for the Probate judge at various times on the Democratic PARTY TICKET.
Cooksey, Levi {I3285} (b. 1800, d. 1873)
Note: Levi Cooksey in 1850 was living in Morgan County,Oh, Penn Twp. with his family and his brother James H. was living next door with their mother living with James H. and family.
Levi was a saddler by trade with personal prperty of 600.Page 135.# 384-384.

Note: James H. Cooksey was a shoemaker. In the 1850 Morgan County census his mother Susannah age 64 was living with his family.
James H. Cooksey enlisted Union Army, 11 Aug 1862--E. Co.,Inf Reg IA mustered out 19 Aug 1863 disability.
Only one child for James per 1850 census, Morgan County, her name was Mary I Cooksey.
James was found in Anamosa, Iowa

Note: Calvin was a Civil War Veteran. Enlistment; Richwood, Ohio 1863 5'10' 165 lbs Complexion; Dark 160 OVI Inf. He was wounded severly twice (Mississsippi & Tennessee); died from severe rheumatoid arthristis at age 41. calvin never married, was postmaster at San Pierre.

Mary A. Bryant, mother of the bride, gave consent for Minerva's marriage. This would indicate that marvin had died sometime before 1860 and that Mary Ann McCombs Adams had remarried to someone named Bryant. Daniel Brunk, Mary A. Brunk and George McCombs were witnesses.

His profession was that of a butcher. He belonged to the Methodist church. He enlisted in the Union Army in the spring of 1865.
