George Levingston Coggins, 88, of Weaver Settlement, passed away at his residence on Thursday. Born in Westport, he was a s/o the late Frederick & Georgina (Thomas) Coggins. Surviving besides his wife, the former Lavina Sabean, are one daughter Dorothy (Mrs. Hugh Allen) Yarmouth, five sons, Ellsworth of Canning, Harold of Bordon, PEI, Llewelyn of Weymout h North, Richard of Levack, ON; Keith of Halifax, one brother, Harry of St.John NB, seventeen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. The remains are resting at Weymouth Funeral Home from where funeral service was held on Saturday at 3 pm. Interment in Riverside Cemetery, Weymouth North.

Note: The family tradition is that Rogers and Anna with their family, including Charity, paid a visit to Lubec to see Anna's family, and while there Charity had a good time with her cousins , including Benjamin Wallace, Ansel and William. She became pregnant and when she was 15 had a son, whom she named Wallace Coggins and who grew up in the Whitaker family after Charity was married to James in 1819. No one knows which of the Coggins' was the father.
